World Bank approves $ 114 Million for FATA:

World Bank has approved a value of $114 million to support the effected families of FATA which is effected by the violence of militancy-related, this money help to get them a healthcare centers and to create a system for the emergency quick response for the safety in Tribal area of Fata Pakistan. So people can easily get the entire basic thing in their area, in case of any emergency.

Bank approved a $75 million credit for FATA TDP and emergency recovery project in 2015 of August. Beneficiaries of the project are the families from five FATA Agencies, namely North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Orakzai, Kurram and Khyber.

The additional money will help 326,000 displaced families to support them, and up to from 120,000 under original project. It will raise the number of participating families with children under 2 years of age to 300,000, up from 64,000 families benefiting from the Child Wellness Grant under the original project.

The new financing will also expand the child health services to all 15 One Stop Shops in these FATA Agencies. The One Stop Shops reduce travel time and costs for parents by providing all related services at one point.

The director for Pakistan Illango Patchamuthu said that “Displaced people in fragile or conflict situations need livelihood support when they leave their homes, and upon their return as well”.

Early package consist of two main grants for the families:

  1. Initial grant of Rs 3,5000 per family
  2. And Live-hood support grant of Rs 16,000 per family, installment of four month of Rs 4,000.
