Mozilla trades Yahoo for Google as standard Firefox browser:

Mozilla recently released this week with the promise of being faster and faster, the new version of Mozilla’s browser, Quantum Firefox, which also brings another important change for some of its users around the world.

Company has recently closed the agreement with Yahoo, which is the standard search tool for Firefox users in the US, Canada, Hong Kong and Taiwan from past years. Agreement done in 2014, the agreement lasted five years and was expected to last until 2019 but it ends in the last of 2017.

Company has stated that “We exercise our contractual right to terminate the agreement with Yahoo based on a number of factors, including doing what is best for our brand, our effort to provide quality search on the web, and a broader content experience for users”.
