HDMI 2.1 arrives with support for 10K and dynamic HDR videos:

The next generation of HDMI is among us with new HDMI 2.1, with the new release of HDMI 2.1 it brings some interesting benefits especially for those who enjoy games and watch videos. The new version of HDMI released on Tuesday, Nov. 11, via the HDMI Forum, the HDMI 2.1 standard, it offers support for higher resolutions, new HDR features and variable refresh rates to make the PC gaming experience smoother, among other features.

The new HDMI 2.1 delivers much higher bandwidth than its predecessor HDMI 2.0 – 48GB / s versus 18 GB / s of current technology. HDMI 2.1 to achieve much higher resolutions and refresh rates.

The new HDMI 2.1 specs are: it supports resolutions in 8K and up to 10K, new gamers will like the 4K / 120Hz display support. Current 4K monitors are limited to 60Hz and boards such as GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and Titan XP are already able to overcome this in newer games. But 120Hz monitors should come in the form of glorious G-Sync HDR displays, from Asus and Acer, and the next generation of Nvidia’s boards will likely have the power needed for such demanding screens.
