In a survey of Avast, a digital security company has lifted the Android applications that most consume system resources, whether they are enabled for use or remain quietly working in the background.This is named as “Android Application Trends and Performance Report”has seen more than three million Avast users with Android devices. The study refers to the third quarter of the last year.
Facebook and Instagram are “hungry” for data and storage
It is also stated that Facebook and Instagram takes most of the storage of your phone by updating their apps on weekly basis.
The report revealed that Samsung and Google dominate the list of the 10 most draining battery life, mobile data, and storage combined. The AllShare application from Samsung is the number one infringer.
The results of the study also showed that Facebook, Spotify and Instagram are the top three applications that take up more storage space. In addition, Google Talkback, Facebook and Instagram are the ones that use the most mobile data. Already the three apps run by users who drain the most battery are the Samsung Beaming Service, Samsung WatchOn and the Netflix application.
In an interview Gagan Singh, vice senior president and general manager of Avast Mobile said “Our latest report described which apps Android users should be aware of if they run out of storage space, battery life or mobile data often. You have to optimize the application settings to avoid these problems,”However, the question is how many old Samsung devices are still in use.” Many of these users may not be aware that Samsung does not regularly provide security updates to older smartphone models, putting users’ safety at risk.
